All Glenwood Rural kits are designed with the competent handy-person in mind, and easy to follow instructions are included in every kit delivered
All of our Buildings come standard with:
- No space restricting knee braces
- Heavy duty roof and wall sheeting in a variety of profiles
- Fully bolted, all C-Section, zinc coated frames (no top hat section)
- All fixing and fastening requirements
- All guttering and an adequate number of downpipes
- Proper bridging batten and strap bracing
- Fully framed windows and flashings on the outside
- Roller door and corner flashings
- All columns fitted with a heavy duty "U" shape galvanised base plate
- Individually drawn, engineer ceritified drawings for council, included if required

Glenwood Rural Building Guidelines
Glenwood Rural Buildings are available in a wide varitey of types and sizes to suit every domestic, rural, commercial or industrial application.
Buildings are of clear span fully bolted portal frame construction with spans up to 24m.
Roof pitch is usually 10 degree except for barns which have 26 degree gable with 5 degree skillions. Other roof pitches are available as an option.
Buildings with a skillion roof at 3 degree pitch are available in spans up to 12m.
Cold roller "C" sections are used for columns, rafters, girts and purlins.
Heavy duty knee and apex connector plates provide a one peice connection for the column, rafter and eave purlin.
Internal portal frames are double sections back to back, with the end frames usually single sections. Double portal frames are used in all cases in building with open walls.
Heavy duty galvanised base plates with "U" bolts cast into the concrete slab or footing provide the most secure hold down system avaliable.
Wall and roof cladding is usually Bluescope Zincalume or Colourbond sheeting with the roof clad in either Trimdek or Custom Orb profile with a total thickness of 0.47mm. the wall clad can be Custom Orb or Trimdek as per the roof .
Climaseal tek screws are used in wall and roof applications. Coloured screw are avaliable as an option.
Gutters are available in Colourbond or Zincalume with the appropriate downpipes to ground level.
Roller doors are available in a wide range of sizes with domestic doors up to 3m high and industrial chain operated doors up to 5m high. Windlocks are available for all doors in high wind areas. A full range of colourbond colours are availble. Electric motorised doors are an option.
A choice of four different colourbond personal access doors can be fitted to any building. All doors are supplied with keylocks.
Top hung Sliding doors can be supplied with single or multi track systems.
Aluminium sliding windows complete with frames and flashings are available in standard sizes and colours.
Rotary roof ventilators are availble with sizes for every application.
